We Cannot Help Everyone, But Everyone Can Help Someone.
Justice Delayed, is Justice Denied
What we do: For things as simple as correcting NADRA data, as sensitive as criminal complaints, or as complex as Khula, divorce and maintenance, property matters, succession matters etc. the disenfranchised are often sent running from pillar to post, with little to no results. KAS Access-to-Justice, a Boon Initiative, is looking to step into the breach, with legal help and crowdfunding for related expenses.
How we do it: When cases are referred to us, we assess and triage them, evaluate the needs of the individual , and broadcast them to our network of sponsors and supporters for crowdfunding. The required funding for each case, including the hidden costs (such as publications and fees which are often neglected by the formalised legal aid organisations), is calculated and presented for funding.
Why we do it: This allows those seeking help to get quick access to professional legal services, without all the wait and the red tape associated with applying to the formalised and (dysfunctionally slow or overburdened) institutions available. Most importantly we are looking to keep the most vulnerable in the safety net of the law.
